BlueHost is a reputed name in the hosting industry and its Unlimited package is a major buy in for most customers.They offer linux based hosting with unlimited disk space, unlimited bandwidth and allow you to host unlimited number of domains. BlueHost features are pretty much standard with cPanel, multiple database support, FTP, email, SSH, SSL, CGI, Ruby ( RoR) etc. They offer 100 MySQL and 100 Postgre database which should be good for hosting any decent website.

As a standard hosting feature they also include Fantastico which ensures for easy installation of a host of scripts like Moodle, Mamabo, Joomla, WordPress etc There are also a bunch of other website plugins offered as a part of the hosting package which includes image galleries - Coppermine, Guestbook, PHP Form Generator, PHP Nuke, Post Nuke, Poll and survey software etc.

One thing that I felt a little uneasy about on their website is that besides a single mention on the home page the price is not mentioned anywhere else unless you move onto the second step of the buying process. Also their Terms of Service mentions that they will auto renew your hosting account and domains 14 days before the account expiration unless the client explicitly sends an email atleast before 16 days.

BlueHost also offers free domain with hosting packages and supports International domain names as well. One of the really cool feature that I find with BlueHost is their demo version of cPanel that you can actually use and get comfortable. For people getting their first hosting account or using cPanel for the first time this is a great training aid.

BlueHost tech support is pretty good. I tried calling them twice and in both the cases my waiting time was less than a minute. I tried quizing the tech support guys with some everyday tech questions commonly faced by webmasters and they were handled pretty well. They have two toll free numbers for 24/7 tech support and customer service.

BlueHost also offers Google Adwords credit and Yahoo Sponsored Search credits with all hosting package.

At present BlueHost is offering a disounted rate of $3.95/month compared to their $6.95/month.
